LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Province of Pangasinan through the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) has been cited as the 2nd Best LGU Booth during the “NLEX Tara na sa Norte” Tourism and Travel Fair held from July 21 to 23 at Glorietta Activity Center, Ayala Center in Makati City.
Aside from the award, two other citations were accorded to the PTCAO—Best in On-Site Marketing and Best Booth Staff, first to be received in the past six years of joining the tourism and travel fair.
Besting over 90 other Local government (LGU) booths, PTCAO Chief Ma. Luisa A. Elduayan explained the Pangasinan booth excelled over others due to “interactive and informative” approach.
As stated by Elduayan, the Pangasinan booth offered an innovative marketing promotion strategy which featured the various tourism attractions in the province as well as the best delicacies and cuisine.
Also, the PTCAO staff distributed flyers and brochures to promote the best attractions, unique culture, diverse arts, and palatable native products of Pangasinan.
Elduayan further said that an added attraction to the public was the free photo souvenir corner which was set up by the PTCAO that made the booth more visually engaging. With this, viewing public were treated with a unique experience of getting to Pangasinan’s prime destination of their choice via personalized photo.
During the tourism and travel fair, the public were given access to the tourism website of Pangasinan www.visitpangasinan.com which was created and powered by Explora.ph.
Participants in the event included hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour organizers, traders, airline companies and government agencies.
