BAGUIO CITY – Running enthusiasts are being encouraged to actively participate in the upcoming 1st Dr. Charles M. Hamada Memorial Rum which will be held on May 1, 2019 at the Burnham Lake Drive.
Race Director Rosario ‘Che” Alberto said the run will have two categories, a 3-kilometer and a 5-kilometer run, that will traverse several routes in the city.
Proceeds of the event will go to the Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club (BCBC) civic projects and medical aid for members. BCBC is the oldest media organization in the city that existed over the past five decades.
The gun start for both categories will be at 5 am of May 1, 2019, Labor Day, right in the Burnham Park Lake Drive, the usual starting area of running activities conducted in the city.
The top three winners in each of the categories will be receiving attractive prizes from the race organizers.
Registration fee for the 3-kilometer run is P250 while the registration fee for the 5-kilometer run is P350, inclusive of race bib, finisher’s singlet and snacks.
Registration is now underway at the Laperal building entrance along Session road and that it is expected to close at around 12 noon of April 30, 2019.
