The local government of Sagada, in coordination with the Cordillera offices of the Regional Development Council (RDC-CAR) and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA-CAR) will stage a concert-forum on Cordillera autonomy on February 2, 2018 at the Basketball Court, Poblacion, Sagada during the 8th Etag Festival.
This will be similar to the series of concert-forums previously slated last year in the provinces of Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Ifugao.
With more than a thousand expected guests from neighboring municipalities participating in the festivities, this is a good opportunity to inform and increase their awareness of the autonomy advocacy.
Local music bands with The Cordillera Connection (TCC) Band will perform a collection of songs related to self-determination and autonomy while resource speakers will share brief messages. It can be recalled that the TCC Band served as the lead band in the past provincial concert-fora and this will also serve as an opportunity to showcase the talents of some of Sagada’s local artists.
Wasdin di maawis ay makidnge ya makikanta maipanggep isnan otonomiya. (Everyone is invited to come learn and sing about autonomy). Come one, come all!
