LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The municipal government commended the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for bagging the title as the Best Municipal Police Station (LTMPS) in the country during the recently concluded Police Service anniversary.
Mayor Romeo K. Salda said that the significant achievement of the LTMPS under the able leadership of Police Maj. Clef Vencio as a clear evidence that law enforcers in the municipality adhere to the standards of trusted, dedicated and responsible public servants.
He claimed that the LTMPS deserves the recognition that had been bestowed to the same by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and that the ultimate sacrifices made by the personnel of the LTMPS in the implementation of the anti-criminality, anti-insurgency, anti-terrorism, peacekeeping and other service-related activities had gained ground.
“We are optimistic that officers and personnel of the LTMPS will use the recent recognition bestowed to the organization as a motivation and inspiration to work hard in sustaining the gains of their programs, projects and activities and introduce the needed adjustments for the station to move on to greater heights,” Mayor Salda stressed.

For his part, Vencio expressed his gratitude to the municipal government headed by Mayor Salda and Vice Mayor Roderick Awingan for their all-out support to the needs of the LTMPS and for providing the law enforcers with utmost guidance in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities.
Further, he also thanked the public and private sectors as well as the people in the town’s 16 barangays for showing their trust and confidence to the LTMPS in making Benguet’s capital town a safe place to study, work, live and do business, saying that the discipline of everyone greatly contributed in the reduced crimes that were committed in the municipality during the period that the different stations were rated for their performance.
Vencio also recognized the contribution of the officers and personnel of the LTMPS for the recent award because of not for their dedication and passion to serve and protect, the LTMPS would not be able to land in the highest pedestal of the PNP as the Best Municipal Police Station on the country.
He encouraged the municipal government, the public, private sectors and the people of the municipality to continue bestowing to the LTMPS their trust and confidence for them to be able to effectively and efficiently discharge their duties and responsibilities to serve and protect the people.
LTMPS was able to get its first award as Best Municipal Police Station in the country during the tour of duty of Superintendent Benson Macliing.
The ward goes with a hefty cash reward that will be used to further improve the various equipment of the station to help intensify its peacekeeping operations.
