CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO- After the resounding relief of 13 Chiefs of Police in the provinces of La Union, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, six (6) more Chiefs of Police in Pangasinan were relieved for failing the monthly Chief of Police Performance Evaluation Rating (COPPER).
Police Chief Superintendent Romulo E. Sapitula, PRO1 Regional Director, made his words of evaluating the Chiefs of Police of Pangasinan after giving a one-week grace period to double their efforts in consideration to the calamities that struck the said province.
According to PCSupt Sapitula, a total of 6 Chiefs of Police in the province of Pangasinan to include Asingan MPS, San Manuel MPS, Sison MPS, Sta Maria MPS, Balungao MPS and Aguilar MPS were relieved yesterday, August 8, 2018 and were designated as Checkpoint Officers.
“To make sure that the entire organization is working well starts with the placement of competitive and dynamic leaders that will spearhead the organization,’’ PCSupt Sapitula said.
But despite these challenges to all Chiefs of Police, the Regional Director commends the dedication of the men and women of Police Regional Office 1 to public service.

According to PSupt Jay B Baybayan, OIC, Mangaladan Police Station, De Guzman tried to bribe the duty police officers to release her mother, Laila De Guzman who was arrested for violation of RA 9165. A total of Php 5,000.00 was recovered as evidence money of the crime.
