Dahil sa mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng Enhanced Community Quarantine sa Natonal Capital Region, Luzon at iba pang mga lugar sa Visayas at Mindanao, maraming mga employers at miyembro ng SSS ang nagtatanong sa atin kung kailan ba maaaring magbayad ng kontribusyon sa SSS at saan ito maaaring bayaran. Samantalang limitado ang paglabas ng mga tao para sa kanilang mga personal at opisyal na mga transaksyon sa iba’t-ibang tanggapan ng gobyerno at pribadong sektor, marami ang nangangamba na baka hindi na tanggapin ang kanilang mga bayad sa sandaling matapos na ang takdang panahon ng ECQ.

Kahit nasa gitna tayo ng krisis dahil sa paglaganap ng corona virus disease o COVID-19, makikita mo naman sa bawat employer at miyembro ng SSS ang pagtupad sa kanilang mga obligasyon bilang kasapi ng ating institusyon. Sa panahong ito, isa ang SSS na maaari nilang sandalan para sa kanilang oras ng pangangailangan. Isa sa kanilang dapat tandaan at huwag kaligtaan ay ang regular na pagbabayad ng kanilang kontribusyon na isa sa batayan sa pagkuha ng mga benepisyo at pribilehiyo tulad ng mga pautang para sa kanilang mga agarang pangangailangang pinansyal.

Para sa kaalaman ng lahat, narito ang bagong deadlines sa pagbabayad ng mga kontribusyon bilang konsiderasyon at ayuda na rin sa ating mga employers at miyembro:

Sa mga voluntary, self-employed, non-working spouse members, maaari nilang bayaran ang first quarter contributions mula January, February at March 2020 hanggang June 1, 2020. Ang mga employers naman na nagbabayad ng kontribusyon ng kanilang mga empleyado para sa buwan ng February, March, at April 2020 ay may palugit din hanggang June 1, 2020.

Wala namang pagbabago sa contribution payment deadlines ng mga OFWs. Maaari nilang bayaran ang kanilang mga kontribusyon para sa buwan ng January hanggang September 2020 sa last working day ng Oktubre 2020. Ang kontribusyon naman nila para sa buwan ng October, November, at December 2020 ay maaaring bayaran hanggang sa last working day ng susunod na taon o hanggang January 2021.

Kung ikaw man ay Voluntary, Self-Employed, Non- Working Spouse o OFW, wala rin namang problema kung nais na nilang bayaran hanggang June 1, 2020 ang kanilang kontribusyon para sa mga natitirang buwan ng taong 2020.

Nawa’y naging malinaw sa inyo ang panibagong payment deadlines ng SSS. Ngunit, kailangang tandaan na ito’y pansamantala lamang sa gitna ng krisis na kinakaharap ng Pilipinas. Paalala lang din sa mga magpa-file ng kanilang mga sickness at maternity benefit claims, ang mga kontribusyon na nabayaran ninyo sa loob o semestre ng inyong pagkakasakit o panganganak ay hindi kasali sa computation ng inyong mga benefits. Nasa guidelines ng SSS na ang anumang kontribusyon na nabayaran sa loob ng semestre ng pagkakasakit o panganganak ay hindi kasali sa bilang o komputasyon ng benepisyong matatanggap ng miyembro.

Ibabalik naman ang dating schedule ng pagbabayad ng mga kontribusyon sa sandaling maging normal na ang sitwasyon sa ating paligid.

May mga humihingi rin ng paglilinaw tungkol sa Unemployment Benefit na maaaring makuha ng mga miyembrong nawalan ng trabaho sa gitna ng ECQ. Ang Unemployment Benefit ay ibinibigay sa mga miyembrong permanenteng nahiwalay sa trabaho dahil sa hindi inaasahang pagkakatanggal sa trabaho bunsod ng pagsasara o pagkalugi ng kumpanya, retrenchment, redundancy o pagtigil ng operasyon dahil sa krisis na kinakaharap natin ngayon.

Maaari pa ring magpasa ng unemployment benefit application hanggang June 30, 2020 ang mga miyembrong ang isang taong prescriptive period ay magtatapos sa pagitan ng March 5, 2020 hanggang April 30, 2020. Kasalukuyan pang binabalangkas ang mga bagong sistema hinggil sa online submission ng unemployment benefit application.

Pinapayuhan namin ang lahat ng miyembro na i-follow, i-like at i-share ang opisyal na Facebook page ng SSS, ang Philippine Social Security System para sa iba pang karagdagang impormasyon at mga detalye ng mga programang may kaugnayan sa COVID-19.
