CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – A buy bust operation resulted in the arrest of Barangay Kagawad in Brgy. Langaoan, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur yesterday, August 14, 2018.
Police Senior Inspector Joel M Castillo, Chief of Police, Sta Maria Police Station identified the suspect as Brgy. Kagawad Eddie Fernando Cabico, a resident of Brgy. Langaoan, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur.
Confiscated in Cabico’s possession are: one (1) small piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu” and a five hundred peso bill as buy-bust money.
Cabico is a drug surrenderee of the said municipality and categorized as User/Narco Politician.
Cabico was brought to Ilocos Sur District Hospital for medical examination and thereafter turned over to PDEA RO1, San Fernando City, La Union for drug test and proper documentation.
“The call of our duty, as police officers, is to serve and protect the community from proliferation of illegal drugs, violence and criminality; and that is what we are doing,” PCSupt Sapitula said.
