BAGUIO CITY- Game excitement in the 12th YMCA Cup Inter-school Elementary and High school Basketball tournament resumes January 7,2017 as teams will again be matched for the last games of the elimination round at the YMCA gym here with games for the elementary, high school and girls divisions to start at 8:00 in the morning.
On Saturday, Saint Louis School Center will face the Berkeley Aquanauts followed by Lucban Elementary School versus Star Elementary School for Elementary “A” division. Lucban Elementary A will face Easter School Elementary while Head Start matches up with Berkeley Wave for Elementary B division, with the final game for the day will be between UCGSHS against Mabini Elementary School for Elementary A division.
The Sunday, January 8, match ups will see OLMCM facing Lucban A, STAR against Berkeley Aquanauts, UBLES versus Lucban B, Mabini Elem. Versus San Jose Elem., and Headstart matching up with PMS for Elementary A and B Divisions respectively.
The penultimate games for the elimination round will also see Berkeley Wave in action against PMS, OLMCM versus Puguis Elementary Schoo, and Head Start versus BCUELS for the Elementary B division while BCNHS will see action against Berkeley, and SLULHS versus STAR H/S for the girls division on January 14.
On January 15, Lucban A will be going against Berkeley Wave, Berkeley Aquanauts will go against UCGS, OLMCM will go against Easter College ES, while BCUES plays against Puguis Elementary School for Elementary division B. PCNHS will see action against San Jose B, SLAH goes against UBSHS Grey for High school Boys division while Berkeley faces San Jose and UCGSHS goes against BCNHS for the girls division during the last day of the elimination round.
Meanwhile, the top four teams for the High School Boys division cluster A who will see action in the semi-final round are: BERKELEY who topped the score cards with 7 wins and 0 loss ranked number 1 will go against top 4 team Baguio City High School with a 4-3 win-loss card. While Top 2 contender
Saint Louis University Laboratory High School with a 6 win 1 loss card will see action against Top 3 contender University of the Cordilleras Grade School High School.
Following the two to beat 1-4, 2-3, match ups with the top two teams moving to the championships while the top 3 and 4 teams will vie for third place.
