LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Legalized Baguio, PROCOR, and LTMPS all won the second game of their semifinal series to avoid the upset rush of the underdogs while FMA-Aquisan became the first lower seed to reach the finals via an upset in the fourth Season of the Strawberry Cup.
Legalized Baguio nipped Isaac, 96-90, last July 14 while PROCOR nicked Bryan, 111-106, last July 15 to advance to the finals of Bracket F.
In Bracket I, LTMPS scattered the Agi-Kabayan, 82-70, July 15 to reach the finals. They will face the Falcon-Isaiah 7:14, who disposed off stubborn Emissaries, 78-70, last July 17.
In the meantime, Truant found Buguias a tough nut to crack but still squeaked 96-95 win last July 14 to advance to the finals of Bracket G. They will be facing the K11, which disposed off the Avengers 41:10 earlier.
35UP top seed Isaac breezed through the finals by eliminating La Trinidad, 104-94, in the semifinals. They are awaiting their opponent as the Kapangan Sons send it to sudden death with a 94-90 victory.
In the 40s Bracket, to seed Isaac reach the finals first with a 97-80 victory over the Amigos, They will face the winner between the Isaiah 7:14 Bulldogs and the PhilAm Dongla Unit of the other match-up.
Meanwhile, FMA-Aquisan routed the Neophytes, 76-58, last July 14 to reach the Bracket H finals. It was their second triumph over the second seed, also taking the first game, by a squeaker, 63-62, earlier. They will face top seed Gardenville for the title.
