BAGUIO CITY – The University of Baguio (UB) team of Shanaya Rose Dangla and Loren Chloe Balaoing was declared champion in the “Sports Workshop and Quiz Bee” held September 12, 2019 at City Hall’s Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
Angelo Parocha and Amsay Grace Coria-en of team National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT); Jan Aveya Buenaventura and Jasper Yogcayog, University of the Cordilleras; Lee Bay-asen and Ymeiliza Grace Tabora of team NIIT came in as 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners up, respectively.
Aeroll Kae Alviedo and Myadione Pawid of UB and team NIIT’s Michael Jayson Caasi and Jonas Roy, took the consolation prizes.
Cash prizes in varying amounts including certificates of appreciation were given to all the participants of the quiz bee that focused on matters relating to sports. Spearheaded by the office of councilor Vladimir Cayabas, chair of the city council’s committee on education, culture, creativity and historical research, the competition is part of the Baguio Day Celebration with the theme, “Nurturing the Environment for Sustainable Development”.
