TABUK CITY, Kalinga- – In partnership with Sanggunian Panlungsod, the Rotary Club (RC) of Tabuk City organized a poster making contest, November 28 at Grand Zion Hotel and Garden Resort with the theme, ‘’Rotary: Advancing local peace through dialogue and understanding.
Open to all high school students, Project Director Rainier Cirilo Sarol informed that the poster making contest maximized the artistry and creativity of students while promoting peace as one of the programs of RC.
Sarol, also the RC’s New Generation Committee chairman said that the posters were original, handmade, painted or drawn using any medium or mixed media created on a ¼ illustration board.
Top three winners who received P5,000.00; P3,000.00 and P1,500.00 and a plaque of recognition respectively were Frewell Buyaden (St. Tonis College), Neil Diwayan (Tabuk City National High School) and Andres Ticnag (Nambaran Agro-Industrial National High School). Meantime, P1,000.00 consolation prize was given to other participating students.
The judges, who looked for adherence to the theme (30%), creativity (25%), visual impact (25%) and composition (20%) were Kalinga State University (KSU) instructor Marciano Paroy; City Councilor Zorayda Wacnang; National Commission on Indigenous People provincial director Natividad Suguiyao; and KSU professor May Shui Buslig.
