Student hurt in Baguio shooting incident

BAGUIO CITY  – A 17-year old student was injured after he was allegedly shot by still undefined gun-wielding suspects in front of a bar along Upper Gen. Luna Road, here, Friday.

            Police authorities identified the victim as Earl Jester Puruganan Ramos, 17, single, student, and a resident of Bugalion St. Aurora Hill, Baguio City.

            Initial police investigation showed that the victim and his companions went inside the bar to have a drinking session but the former kept coming in and out of the establishment.

            After a few moments, the victim was seen lying in front of the bar that prompted his companions to rush him to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) where it was discovered that he sustained a lone gunshot wound on his right chest.

Witnesses claimed that they did not hear any gunshot wound that emanated in the vicinity that could have caused the injury to the victim.

            The case is still subject to further investigation by responding police operatives considering that the CCTV camera in the area will be subject to review.
