LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – More than P270 million worth of illegal drugs and successfully arrested six drug personalities in a week-long separate anti-drug operations that were conducted in the different parts of the Cordillera from April 29 to May 5.
The drug haul was the result of 12 separate marijuana eradication operations and three (3) other police operations.
During the said operations, government forces arrested the 6 suspects after being caught in possession of a combined total of 8.14 grams of suspected shabu, 240 ml of Marijuana oil and 62, 300 grams of dried marijuana stalks with fruiting tops, all with an overall total Standard Drug Price of P7,543,352.00.
Among the arrested suspects, five were identified as Streel Level Individuals and 1 was identified as a High-Value Individual, all of whom will be facing charges for violating R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Moreover, separate marijuana eradication operations conducted resulted in the discovery of 838,100 Fully Grown Marijuana Plants and 792,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops, with a combined value of P262,660,000.00.
All confiscated illegal drugs were burned following documentation, while follow-up operations are being conducted to locate other marijuana plantation sites and apprehend cultivators.
