Yap underscored that to be able to guarantee the accessibility of quality education, there is a need to strengthen the presence of public schools in the communities to provide the basic education needs of the youth in preparation for their higher level of education in their chosen schools inside and outside the province.
He assured incoming college students that they will be granted additional benefits from the government for this year where his office is currently working these out with concerned government agencies.
Yap emphasized that education is the key to a bright future for the youth and he will work hard to ensure that Benguet will get its rightful share from the available resources of the government to bring education closer to the people in the rural areas around the province.
Moreover, he said that the construction of additional schoolbuildings in strategic areas will remain as one of the major priorities of his office in the allocation of the available resources from concerned government agencies so that children can attend classes and complete their basic education and move on to their desired higher level of studies.
