Lingayen – The staging of the 1st Umaani Expo in Pangasinan on March 28 to April 1 at the Provincial Agriculture Center in Tebag, Sta. Barbara offers a series of agricultural forum for stakeholders of the agriculture industry.
OIC Provincial Agriculturist Dalisay Moya said that experts in various disciplines of agriculture have been invited to share their experiences in modern farming strategies which led to the successful agribusiness ventures.
In holding the forum, Moya said that Governor Amado I. Espino, III had stressed the need of having the stakeholders in attendance to avail of information materials of the latest trends and modern strategies in agro-industrial farming.
The agricultural fora are conducted as a component of the agro-industrial development thrust set by Governor Espino, Moya said.
Component of the kick-off day of the Umaani Expo on March 28 is the Agribusiness forum at 1PM.
Rice and Technology Forum is scheduled on day two of the expo (Agew na Umaaniy Pagey) at 8:30AM.
Good Agricultural Practices Orientation and Consultative Forum reels off at 9:30AM during the Agew na Umaanid Tanawan on March 30. A Corn Program Assessment and Consultation is set in the afternoon.
Highlighting day four (Agew na Sumisigay tan Manag-ayep) of the Umaani expo on Mach 31 is the staging of a simultaneous stakeholders’ fora which include: bangus growers’ forum, tilapia growers’ forum, fish processors’ forum and municipal fishermen’s forum.
Simultaneous in said day is the conduct of the swine raising seminar.
The Umaani Expo conceptualized by Governor Espino, aside from being an avenue to celebrate the riches of agriculture in Pangasinan, is a gesture to recognize the significant roles of stakeholders of the agriculture sector in strengthening the agricultural development thrust of the provincial government.
