BAGUIO CITY – Two foreign nationals were injured after they were reportedly mauled by three still unidentified Filipino male suspects in front of a bar and hotel along Kisad Road here around 4:30 am Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Omar Ali Algathmi, 20, single, Yemeni national and presently residing at No. 3 San Luis, Baguio City; and, a male minor foreigner.
Initial police investigation showed the Yemeni national’s minor companion was talking to three Filipinas outside the said bar when the suspects suddenly approached them and started mauling the two foreigners for still unknown reasons.
After the incident, the suspects immediately fled towards an undisclosed direction while the victims were immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment.
Probers are now conducting a manhunt operation against the suspects who were identified by witnesses as regular customers of the establishment.
