BAGUIO CITY – Two young pony boys were arrested by alert security guards after they were found to be in possession of alleged illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia at Wright Park here Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested individuals as Carlo Rey Dangwa Bonilla, 18, single, pony boy and a resident of Mines view, Baguio City and Dominick Ballesteros Vicente, 19, also a pony and a resident of Gibraltar, Baguio City.
However, the city prosecutor’s office ordered the release of Vicente for insufficiency of evidence while Bonilla was subsequently detained at the Baguio City Jail.
Initial police investigation showed the suspects were seen by the security guards within the vicinity of the Wright Park when Bonilla allegedly brought out a white plastic sachet and sensing that the security guards saw what he did, he dropped the same and the two individuals attempted to ran away from the area.
Confiscated from the individuals were a plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and other drug paraphernalia.
Bonilla was charged for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law before the city prosecutor’s office.
