City officials recently congratulated and commended Sgt. Leo T. Matencio and Sgt. Angelo V. Navarro of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) for returning the lost wallet of a local tourist within the premises of the Presidential Mansion.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Lila A. Farinas, local legislators stated that the said acts of honesty and integrity of the two soldiers is worthy of commendation and recognition, especially to uniformed personnel who exercise their duties truthfully and honestly which is worthy of emulation by not only their peers but also the general public.
Sometime on July 8, 2023, a wallet was found by Sgt. Leo Matencio and Sgt. Angelo Navarro while doing their regular duties and routine activities at the gate of the Mansion House.
The lost and found wallet reportedly belonged to a local tourist from Bacoor City, Cavite that contained a certain amount of cash, including ATM cards and several US dollars, which were turned over by the honest guards to the tourist police, PMSgt. Laire Lester E. Bullan and PCpl. Caesar G. Castillo.
The said incident report from the PSG was endorsed to the local legislative body by the Office of the City Mayor that prompted the council to pass the resolution of commendation and recognition for their honesty and integrity.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the said soldiers and the PSG for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
