City officials recently congratulated and commended Bryan Paul Capinding Balancia of Saint Louis University (SLU) for placing second during the February 2024 mechanical engineers licensure examination with an average of 92.20 percent.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that Balancia’s achievement brought honor and pride to the city which is yet another testament that Baguio City remains to be the educational center of the north.
Earlier, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 4,458 out of 6,670 examinees passed the mechanical licensure examination which was conducted last February 20, 21 and 22, 2024 in various testing centers around the country.
The council noted that the results of the aforesaid examination was released after three days from the last day of examination that was held in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban and Zamboanga.
Balancia, an alumnus of SLU, was one of the 4,458 examinees who hurdled the said examination given by the PRC.
Further, Balancia did not just pass the said examination but also placed second on the list of topnotchers with an average of 92.20 percent.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Balancia and the SLU administration for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
