As PRO Cordillera strengthened its anti-criminality campaign, a total of 35 wanted personalities were arrested and 62 municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents during the weeklong operations conducted from March 17 to 23, 2024.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 20 wanted persons apprehended, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with six arrests, Kalinga PPO with three arrests, Apayao PPO and Mountain Province PPO with two arrests each, and Abra PPO and Ifugao PPO with one arrest each.
Of the 35 arrested personalities, nine are identified as Most Wanted Persons, wherein four are listed at the Provincial Level, three at the Municipal Level, and one each at the City and Station Level.
Meanwhile, as a result of the intensified police presence, 62 municipalities in the different provinces in the region and two police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PRO Cordillera recorded zero crime incidents in these areas during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in the 25 municipalities in Abra, four in Apayao, eight in Benguet, five in Kalinga, and 10 municipalities each in Mountain Province and Ifugao.
Further, in Baguio City, Legarda Police Station 5 and Marcos Highway Police Station 10 also recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in the city. (PRO CORDILLERA PIO)
