LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial School Board (PSB) has hired 40 teachers to augment the needed human resources of the Department of Education.
The provincial government facilitated the selection process of these educators who will be assigned to elementary and secondary schools in need of PSB support.
Across various municipalities in Apayao, there are 35 PSB teachers who have been given another contract, and 5 new applicants for the PSB Teaching program.
The local governments have contributed funds from the Special Education Fund (SEF) to cover the salaries of these PSB teachers.
The screening process for hiring qualified PSB teachers was overseen by Jean Marie P. Bayani, the Program Coordinator for Teachers at the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO).
She highlighted the main requirements for PSB teachers, including being listed in the Registry of Qualified Applicants (RQA), being a registered voter in Apayao, and holding a valid PRC License.
The PSB teachers extend their gratitude to the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. together with all the provincial officials for providing them with this valuable opportunity which allows them to practice their profession and impart holistic learning experiences to their students, drawing upon their expertise and experience.
