BAGUIO CITY – Seven first-time visitors to the city were chosen by the members of the Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club (BCBC) as this year’s Baguio-Benguet lucky summer visitors following the resumption of the annual search after a 3-year lull.
The first batch of a male and female lucky visitors were chosen from a Baguio-bound Victory Liner with body number 2091 while the second batch of 5 tourists were selected by the members of the search committee from a Baguio-bound Genesis bus with body number 818644.
Ivan Magahis, 25, a junior analyst and Ciara Balmaceda, 26, administrative staff and both residents of Bacoor City, Cavite were chosen by the members of the BCBC selection committee after passing the criteria of being first-time visitors to the city while on board the Victory Liner bus that was flagged down in front of the Flying V gas station in Pugo, La Union.
Further, Ivy Cayabyab, 30; Lea Cayabyab, 26; Rechelle Ramos, 36; Joan Velez, 38, a sari-sari store owner and Genalyn Billones, 37, all of Mariveles, Bataan were chosen by the members of the BCBC selection committee from the Genesis bus that was also flagged down in the aforesaid search area.
The 7 Baguio-Benguet lucky visitors will be receiving a 4-day red carpet treatment from the media organization and its partners in the conduct of the annual Search for the Baguio Benguet Lucky Summer Visitor.
This year’s batch of lucky summer visitors comprise the 61st batch of luck visitors under the said program of the media organization that had spearheading the annual search for over 6 decades now.
The lucky visitors will be visiting the various tourist destinations in Baguio and Benguet which will be part of the red-carpet treatment that will be afford them during their stay in the city.
