CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet October 10 – Nine individuals were arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after allegedly being involved in the commission of various crimes in the region over the past several days.
Personnel of the Baguio City Police office (BCPO) arrested identified as Osias Tomas Aniban, 68, resident of Sayangan, Atok, Benguet; Villamor Dapuyan Pace, 55, laborer, resident of Hydro No. 2, Asin, Tuba, Benguet; Zaldy Salbino Pio, 31, porter, resident of Purok 15, Agro, Irisan, Baguio City; Rodrigo Pulsingay Angel, 55, driver, resident of Purok 15, Irisan, Baguio City;Jacqueline Calsi Ibaño, 42, housewife, resident of Asin, Nangalisan, Tuba, Benguet; Shirley Caoili Lucio, 35, vendor, resident of Block 4 Hilltop, Baguio City and; Genevieve Ludaes Willie, 38, housewife, resident of Purok 5 Pinsao Proper, Baguio City for violation of the provisions of Presidential Decree (PD) 1602 or the Anti-Gamblig Law.
As a result, 40 pieces of blue card and 42 pieces of red cards; 4 Monoblock chairs, 1 table, and bet money amounting to P 240.00 in different denomination were confiscated during the operation.
Further, police arrested Angel Jerusalem Tuzon Jr, 23, Merchandizer, a resident of Bugallon St., Aurora Hill, Baguio City who was caught concealing illegal drugs in the morning of October 7, 2017.
Prior to the discovery of the contraband, the suspect was involved in a vehicular accident along Rimando Road, Baguio City and was brought to Baguio General Hospital for medical treatment. When the security guard tried to look for any means to identify the person, he incidentally found 1 heat sealed transparent sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves in his back pack.
On the other hand, Armando Bella Aguirre, 47, a resident of barangay Malabbaga, La Paz, Abra was arrested in the night of October 8, 2017 for firing his gun in barangay Malabbaga, La Paz, Abra. Responding personnel of La Paz MPS together with the barangay Chairman chased the suspect until he was arrested. As a result, 1 unlicensed Cal. 38 revolver with markings Smith and Wesson without serial number loaded with four live ammunition and 2 spent shells were recovered from his possession.
