KABUGAO, Apayao July 10 – A 44-year old woman died while five other individuals were injured after their vehicle suffered mechanical trouble and flipped on the side of the road along the national highway at Paco Valley, here, Friday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Delfina Guago Suet, 44, self-employed, and a resident of Sitio Buyucan, barangay EKB, Kabugao, Apayao while the injured vehicle occupants were Florence Danao Valera, 34, single, and a resident of Paco Valley, Kabugao, Apayao, Leonora Bigtas Dagon, 46, married; Joan Tabling, 25; Renalyn Bayaw Bidoc, 29; and Rogelio Badoy Bayaw, 58, all residents of barangay Kaliat, Kabugao, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed the vehicle where all the individuals were on board was negotiating a descending portion of the national road when it suddenly suffered from mechanical trouble and then flipped on the side of the road that inflicted injuries to the occupants.
The vehicle occupants were immediately rushed by responding police operatives to the Conner District Hospital for medical treatment but the fatality died while undergoing close medical supervision while her companions are still undergoing observation in the said hospital.
