BAGUIO CITY – A 37-year old mother and her 2-year old son were hurt after they were bumped by a speeding motorcycle while crossing a portion of Legarda Road here Wednesday morning.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) identified the victims as Jenny Serrano Diaz, 37 and her 2-year old son Alexander Daniel Diaz, both residents of No. 53 Legarda Road, Baguio City while he named the suspect as Marlon Sahoy Basilio, 37, and a resident of No. 4 Labsan St., Kayang Extension, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that Jenny was carrying her son and alighted from a passenger jeepney upon reaching their point of destination when she was bumped by a speeding motorcycle while they were crossing the road.
Both victims sustained minor injuries and were released after being given medical attention at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC).
The motorcycle was impounded by responding police operatives while the suspect is now awaiting the filing of the necessary charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
