TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Mayor Darwin C. Estrañero recognized Tabuk City Police Station’s role in the city’s progress and development calling it an “indispensable partner” in the implementation of the city government’s socio-economic programs during its founding anniversary celebration held at Kalinga Provincial Police Office on June 27.
“The Tabuk City Police Station is an indispensable factor and partner that strengthens and capacitates the city government in implementing development programs because of its vital role in safeguarding the lives and properties of our citizen,” he said.
He added that the event’s theme, “Ang tunay na adhikain ng kapulisan at komunidad ay pagkakabuklod-buklod tungo sa pagbabago upang makamit ang kapayapaan at kaunlaran,” should be the guiding principle of both citizens and public servants saying that there must be a “culture of synergism” or the unity of every stakeholder’s effort, working in synchrony with each other to achieve the common aspiration of peace and progress in the city.
Recognizing that crime prevention, identification and solution is an essential mandate shared with the city government, the chief executive said that two new police substations in Agbannawag and Calanan is due for construction anytime to enable the TCPS’ quick response in the city’s far-off barangays.
In addition, he said that four more patrol vehicles will be donated to the TCPS and one for the Kalinga Provincial Police Office. As recalled, the city government previously donated six patrol vehicles to the TCPS which are now in service.
“With the construction of these two substations, I hope that we will be able to better serve our constituents, mabibigyan natin ng serbisyo, lalong lalo na ang serbisyo ng ating kapulisan, and I look forward to the day that our movement to synergize and synchronize our efforts to transform our city is realized, not only as a citadel but a hub of development in the Cordillera region, as well as in the nation,” the mayor said.
PLTCOL Dinolong Tombali, Tabuk City Police Chief, said that aside from regular gas and maintenance allocations, vehicle donations, establishment of technology-based policing through the creation of centralized command center; a newly purchased signal repeater will also be delivered which will enhance the operational capability of the Tabuk City Police Station.
