LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – PROCOR Regional Director, PBGen Mafelino A. Bazar has ordered the deployment of 1,588 PROCOR cops to ensure public safety and security in the forthcoming Panagbenga 2023 or the Baguio Flower Festival 2023.
Baguio City Police Office (CPO) personnel will be strategically deployed to increase police presence in bus terminals, malls, parks, markets, and other places of convergence.
PBGEN BAZAR also alerted the Provincial Director of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) of the expected spillover of tourists who will be visiting tourist destinations in the nearby towns found in Benguet.
Also, the Regional Director has instructed the City Director of Baguio CPO and the Provincial Director of Benguet PPO to make the necessary coordination with their respective Local Government Units in providing traffic management assistance.
“Paghandaan natin ito kasi maraming bisitang darating. Tutulong tayo sa traffic management at sa pag-ensure ng seguridad ng ating mga kababayan, ” PBGEN BAZAR said.
Further, the upcoming schedule of activities in the much-awaited Panagbenga 2023 includes the Grand Opening Parade on February 1; Grand Street Dance & Float Parades on February 25 & 26; Session Road in Bloom from February 27 to March 5 while the awarding & closing ceremonies and the Grand Aerial Fireworks Display will be on March 5.
The Regional Director also reminded the public to be mindful of their personal belongings and to call for police assistance as the need arises.
“Bagamat marami tayong idedeploy na mga pulis, patuloy pa rin ang pagpapa-alala natin sa ating mga kababayan na maging responsable sa kanilang mga personal na kagamitan. Inutusan ko rin ang ating mga patrollers na tuloy-tuloy lang sa pagbibigay ng mga calling cards upang merong matawagan ang ating mga kababayan kung kailangan nila ng tulong,” the Regional Director stated.
