BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Department of the Interior and Local Government Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-CAR (DILG-BJMP) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in partnership with the provincial government have conducted a closing program for Automotive Driving and Vehicle Maintenance, Ice Cream Making and Masonary NCI today at the Mountain Province District Jail, Sitio Bilibid, Upper Caluttit, Bontoc, Mountain Province recently.
The graduation ceremony was led by Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. with the TESDA-Provincial Director Engr. Glenn M. Murphy, JSINSL John S. Melecio, Vice Gov. Francis O. Tauli, Board Member Joshua B. Fronda, Executive Assistant June C. Pinayakan and other members of the agency.
For Automotive Driving and Vehicle Maintenance, 1st and 2nd batches, composed of 35 persons deprived of liberty graduated while 21 completed Ice Cream Making and for Masonary NCI, 19 persons deprived of liberty finished the course.
TESDA-Provincial Director Engr. Murphy expressed his gratitude to the governor and to the graduates.
“Our Governor Lacwasan is very supportive of our youth. One goal of the government is to develop the human resources, give them skills, and educate them to have a good life in the future and to provide education for all the people of Mountain Province who are willing to learn and achieve their goals in life.”This is a simple occasion, but it is memorable of your life as a graduate.”
Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. personally, delivered his message to the graduates.
“Congratulations to all of you graduates, Daytoy nga talo nga training ket usaren yo ken iapply yo nu rumwar kayo, mabalin yo pay nga iapply iti trabaho in the future. This training is so memorable while you are inside the jail.”Hopefully, awanin haan kayo manin manayunan this year,” he said.
Meanwhile, Board Member Joshua B. Fronda delivered the message of Vice Gov. Francis O. Tauli. “Congratulations to all of you trainees and the provincial government under the leadership of Gov. Lacwasan we are always supportive to this kind of program.”
Also, the message of TESDA-Regional Director Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr. was relayed by the Chief Regional Operations Divisions Susana Carbonell.
“Congratulations to all graduates. As you receive your training certificates, this is the first step to becoming successful in the future,” she said.
One of the recipients expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the provincial government, TESDA and DILG personnel.
“Taos-puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa inyo ng lahat, pagpalain po kayo ng panginoon at sana mas marami pa kayong matulungan at mabigyan ng inspirasyon hindi lang sa tulad namin kundi sa maraming tao.
On the same occasion, Board Member Fronda personally handed over the parachute tent to the BJMP-MP District Jail.
