Bayambang, Pangasinan –As the upcoming elections draw near, poll surveys in the local and national race remain constant news headlines. In this province, a former congressman and now gubernatorial aspirant shared his insights in recently circulating survey results.
Recently, poll survey results for governorship and vice-governorship was observed circulating in social media. In the said survey conducted by Aksyon Radyo, Board Member Amado ‘Pogi’ Espino III, namesake of the outgoing governor of the province and incumbent Vice Governor Jose ‘Ferdie’ Calimlim tops against former fifth district of Pangasinan Rep. Mark Cojuangco and partner Calasiao Mayor Mark Roy Macanlalay.
However, for Nationalist People’s Coalition and Biskeg na Pangasinan candidate, Cojuangco, told the press that he was not affected by the said survey results. “Sa palagay ko po, kung ang survey na gusto mong ilabas ay yung lamang ka, self-serving yan…dapat may doubt tayo sa credibility niyan,” Cojuangco stressed.
According to the former representative, he had conducted several poll surveys in which he implemented every two months to track progress regarding his candidacy. He explained that he conducts surveys ever two months for his internal guidance. “Maganda po ang resulta ng aking survey pero hindi niyo po ako nadidinig na ipinagmamalaki ko yan.” Cojuangco told.
He also explained that his rival was a psychological warfare or psy-war specialist and firmly believes that the survey results were only a part of their propaganda or mind-conditioning strategy. At the end of the day, lahat ng survey na yan, walang ibig sabihin yan…ang final survey lang ang may ibig sabihin, yan po yung resulta ng eleksyon sa Mayo.” Cojuangco added.
