After their face-off in April was canceled by the Team Lakay star’s being tested positive for COVID-19, Adiwang finally draws Jarred “The Monkey God” Brooks inside The Circle.
Their bout will serve as the main event of One: NextGen III airing on November 26.
The “Thunder Kid” is coming off a unanimous decision win over Hexigetu of China in One: Revolution last month.
Before the match was announced, the “Thunder Kid” expressed willingness to take over any spot vacated by either Rodtang or Johnson as an alternate if one of one of them won’t be cleared to fight for their match scheduled during ONE:X, ONE Championship’s 10th Anniversary special in December.
Adiwang will instead have the opportunity to hike his current 13-3 MMA record.
This will be Brooks’ ONE Championship debut fight. He last saw action under the Bellator banner in December 2019. He currently sports a 16-2-1 NC record.
Brooks is known for his excellent wrestling skills which often victimized his opponents.
Former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov and hard-hitting Thai striker Pongsiri PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym will be seing action in the card as well in a Muay Thai bout serving as the co-main event.
