STA. ANA, Cagayan – The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) is currently hosting a five-day workshop focused on crafting and updating the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) for the years 2023-2028.
The said plan is paramount in ensuring the over-all or holistic progress of the province while mitigating possible unwanted impacts of modernization and development, maintaining a resilient and sustainable approach.
It also takes into consideration the 10-point agenda of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. and his desire for equitable progress as well as ecological balance for all the people of Apayao and the future generations.
Said event, taking place at the Villa Saturnina Resort in Sta. Ana, Cagayan, commenced on Monday, September 18, and has brought together leaders and representatives from various Provincial Offices, along with key stakeholders from concerned National Line Agencies (NLAs).
During their initial session, participants will delve into essential topics, including the PDPFP Guidelines, offering an overview of PDPFP formulation and updates as well as presentations from National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
The discussions will extend to cover Development Directions, encompassing critical elements such as the President’s 8-Point Socio-Economic Agenda (PDP), the Regional Development Agenda, and Provincial Development Directions and Perspectives.
Additionally, the group will strategize actions for sectors spanning the demography, physical resources, economy, environment, infrastructure, and more.
Furthermore, the assembly aims to identify and prioritize pressing development challenges, establish clear development goals and objectives, and craft the Physical Framework Plan for the province over the course of this workshop. By JCM
