LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Government of Apayao continues to empower beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) in the province by extending necessary technical and vocational skills to expand their chosen microenterprise undertakings.
Recently, on August 10, 2023, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in partnership with DSWD and Fertilizers and Pesticides Authority (FPA), held a training on the proper management of fertilizer and pesticides to officers of SLP Association at the EKB Multipurpose Gymnasium, San Isidro Sur, Luna, Apayao.
Dubbed as SLPA congress, the activity engaged 50 SLP stakeholders and representatives from the province’s seven municipalities in a series of plenary sessions, workshops, open forum, demo presentation and brainstorming activities in order to provide them with essential skills and knowledge on fertilizer and pesticide management towards marketing of the same in the future.
SLPAs were also encouraged to secure accreditation from the FPA, informing them of the documentary requirements to avail of such.
