BONTOC, Mountain Province – In support to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) mission in providing quality, equitable, culture-based, and complete basic education, the Bontoc Local Government Unit (LGU) represented by Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the DepEd – Schools Division of Mountain Province represented by Schools Division Superintendent Sally Ullalim on January 9, 2023, at the Mayor’s Office, Municipal Capitol.
The MOA stipulates the commitment of both parties in undertaking collaborative efforts for the development of the education sector as a whole.
Relative to this, the Bontoc LGU has also inked the Deed of Donation of the municipal lot located in Suyo, Can-eo, Bontoc, Mountain Province where the Can-eo Elementary School is located.
The lot was previously donated by Mr./Ms. Charupang, Mr. Miguel Cawed, Mr. Herman Piayas, and Ms. Margarita Lumiwes to the Bontoc LGU.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Senior Education Program Specialist-School Mobilization Networking Section of DepEd-Mountain Province, Sonia Batnag and Ms. Venus Lingbawan, staff of the Office of the Municipal Mayor.
