CONNER, Apayao – A farmer was injured after he was hacked several times on the different parts of his body by his own brother inside their residence at Barangy Ili, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the victim as a 42 y4eard old married, farmer while the suspect was named as his older brother, 44, also a farmer, both residents of Barangay Ili, Conner, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect arrived home from attending a wake wherein the former, who was under the influence of liquor, started provoking the latter.
The suspect ignored the victim but the latter continue to challenge him that prompted the former to grab a bolo and hacked him several times on the different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to a local clinic but he was transferred to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives.
