BONTOC, Mountain Province– A 12-year old differently abled student died after he allegedly drowned in a flood control area of a river system at Poblacion, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Allen S. Ocden, provincial director of the Mountain Province Police Office, identified the fatality as a 12 year old single student, and a resident of Bontoc Ili, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Ocden claimed that concerned residents called up the local police station informing them about an alleged drowning incident in the place of incident.
While in the vicinity of a flood control project, rescuers saw the victim’s floating body and immediately rescued him from the river and rushed him to the Bontoc General Hospital for medical treatment where he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
