LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Benguet State University will play host to the NBA 3X Philippines North Luzon qualifying tournament which will be held on August 11-12, 2108, here.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced on July 24 that the NBA 3X Philippines will return to Manila for an eighth consecutive year on Aug. 25-26 and stage a preliminary tournament for Luzon and for Manila
The NBA 3X Philippines, presented by AXA, will feature an NBA player, an NBA legend, and a slam dunk team.
The Metro Manila tournament will be held on Aug. 18-19 at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati City.
The top teams in each qualifying tournament will advanced to the finals at the SM Mall of Asia.
The 2017 edition featured Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams, who visited the country for the first time, Sacramento Kings Legend Reggie Theus, and the Laker Girls.
The Berkeley School – Baguio Aquanauts composed of Jan Zyrus De Ayre, Ethan Rodelas, Raigne Elijah Serrano, and Larry Nicholas Atos were second to none in Under 16 Category last year. They edged Makati Basketball in a hotly contested match.
Berkely School of Baguio and University of Baguio also reached the finals of the Boys Under-13 and Girls Under-18 Divisions but succumbed to their respective rivals, De La Salle Zobel-2 and Team Bulacan.
Team Rocan of Valenzuela, Bulacan won the Men’s Open Division while the Women’s Open Division was won by the National University.
The league’s international grassroots event platform will showcase a 3-on-3 tournament featuring men’s and women’s teams combined with authentic NBA entertainment.
Registration for NBA 3X Philippines 2018 began last July 25 on a first-come, first-served basis at www.nba3x.com/philippines and runs until Aug. 8, or until all slots are full.
The competitive 3-on-3 tournament includes divisions for boys (under-13, under-16, under-18, and open category), girls (under-18 and open category), an invitation only Celebrity Division featuring popular local personalities, and a division exclusive to AXA employees and distributors.

All participants in NBA 3X Philippines 2018 will receive an NBA 3X jersey with special prizes for the overall winners of each division.
Registration fees for the age divisions cost Php 1,000 per team, while open divisions are Php 1,600 pesos per team.
