TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Attendees from various Public High Schools in the Region had their “sana all” moments when NAPSSHI-CAR Chapter President Feliciano Agsaoay Jr. acknowledged City Mayor Darwin Estranero’s initiative to support teachers and non-teaching personnel, under SDO-Tabuk City through a monthly stipend that has now become a statutory obligation of the CLGU to them.
According to the mayor, the financial support amounts to P500.00 per month and it will be upgraded at any point during the next term. He stated that the program is insufficient to compensate for the patience and passion of teachers in molding young Tabukenos, but the CLGU will progressively fill the gap as education is a priority.
Irene Angway, the superintendent of the School Division, affirmed Agsaoay’s statement. She also mentioned the volunteers and other personnel of the city’s nine (9) Integrated Schools, which the CLGU is assisting in collaboration with Tabuk SDO.
Angway also lauded the CLGU for donating a brand-new vehicle to their office during Estranero’s term. “If you’re in Tabuk City, you’re in good hands,” she said enthusiastically during her congress message.
Meanwhile, the city mayor expressed gratitude to the National Association of Public Secondary School Heads Inc. (NAPSSHI) for hosting the three-day conference from May 18 to 20, 2022, at the Las Vegas Hotel in Tabuk City.
Attendees include the heads of various public secondary schools in the region, some personnel of DepEd-CAR as well as Hon. Allen Jesse Mangaoang of the Lone District of Kalinga, and Keynote Speaker Regional Director Estela Leon-Cariño. By Rio Dongcayan Bassong
