BAGUIO CITY – The decomposing body of a male person was found by concerned residents and barangay officials dumped in a forested portion at Purok 1, Happy Halow, here, Sunday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Ramil L. Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), said that probers cannot ascertain the identity of the recovered cadaver because there were no identification cards of the victim which were recovered in the area where the lifeless body was dumped.
Initial police investigation showed concerned residents in the place complained of a foul odor emanating from their neighborhood that prompted them to call the attention of barangay officials who also sought the assistance of police operatives to determine where the foul odor was emanating.
To their surprise, the residents were able to locate the cadaver that was in a state of decomposition in the forested portion of the said barangay.
The recovered cadaver was brought to a local funeral parlor for the conduct of the needed autopsy to ascertain his cause of death.
