TUBA, Benguet – A 31-year old farmer died after he allegedly drowned in one of the swimming pools within the Asin hot spring at Nangalisan here Tuesday afternoon.
Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the alleged drowning victim as Javier Kuadi Labag, 31, single, farmer, and a resident of Central Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, together with companions, reportedly went to the Asin hot springs in order to relax when they decided to go swimming in one of the pools inside a local resort.
However, the victim allegedly drowned while swimming causing his friends and concerned bystanders to rescue him.
He was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for revival but he later expired while undergoing medical treatment.
