PARACELIS, Mountain Province – A 46-year old farmer died after she was shot on her head by the gun-wielding suspect who barged inside her house at Garuk, Daranao, Bantay, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Marcelita Luppit y Balanao, 46, married, farmer and resident of Garuk Dalanao, Bantay, Paracelis, Mountain Province while the suspect was named as a certain Pablo Balanao Jr. y Purisima “aka” Bungol, also a resident of the same place.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and his relatives were inside their residence when the suspect suddenly barged inside and shot her on her head before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
Pior to the said incident, the victim and the suspect had an altercation regarding their children that prompted the latter to go to his house to get his firearm which he used to shoot the former.
The victim was rushed to the Paracelis district hospital for medical treatment but she was declared on arrival by attending physicians due to a fatal gunshot wound on her head while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives from the Paracelis Municipal Police Station.
