PARACELIS, Mountain Province – A 45-year old farmer died after he was repeatedly shot by still unidentified assailants inside his shanty at Balabal, Bacarri, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Luis Bantiyan Puguon, 45, single, farmer and resident of Sitio Balabal, Bacarri, Paracelis, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was inside his shanty when the still unidentified gun-wielding suspects suddenly barged inside and repeatedly shot him on the different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to the Paracelis District Hospital for medical treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body while the suspects fled towards an undisclosed direction after the incident.
Responding police operatives recovered from the crime scene two spent shells of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
