SAN JUAN, Ilocos Sur March 04 – A 31-year old fisherman died after an alleged improvised dynamite exploded in his midst while standing on a bamboo raft along the shoreline at Surngit, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Gladlee Ford Salarzon Vitamog, 31, married, fisherman/farmer, and a resident of barangay Dardarat, San Juan, Ilocos Sur.
Witnesses informed police operatives that they saw the victim standing on a bamboo raft along the shoreline when they suddenly heard a loud explosion emanating from an alleged improvised dynamite and then they saw the victim fall off the said raft.
Concerned residents immediately respond to the crime scene and rushed the victim to a nearby health facility but he was pronounced dead on arrival due to various wounds inflicted by the explosion on the different parts of his body.
