ANDA, Pangasinan March 04 – A 23-year old student died while his 20-year old companion was injured when their motorcycle collided head on with a delivery truck at barangay Mal-ong, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Jovilove Celino Carolino, 23, single, while his injured companion was named as Jervin Celino Carolino, 20, both students and residents of barangay Awag, Anda, Pangasinan.
Initial police investigation showed the motorcycle of the victims and the delivery truck driven by Ronald Ochave Donato, 35, single and a resident of Camagsingalan,Sual, Pangasinan were traversing opposite directions when their motorcycle encroached the lane of the truck that resulted to the head on collision.
Because of the impact of the collision, the victims were thrown off their vehicle causing their bodies to bang on the concrete pavement resulting to their multiple head and body injuries.
The occupants of the motorcycle were rushed to the Bolinao Community Hospital for medical treatment but Carolino expired while undergoing close medical supervision. The occupants of the delivery truck were unhurt while the driver voluntarily surrendered to the responding police operatives.
