For the purpose to help the local farmers as well, the releif goods consisted of various freshly picked vegetables. The tons of vegetables were bought in Caew, Mankayan such as carrots, wombok, pepper, and beans. The school also procured hundred of kilos of lettuce, cabbage and cauli flower in La Trinidad.
A total of 1,020 families were benefited by the relief operation from the six barangays of the city. Brgy. Camp Allen recieved 225 packs of reliefs, Brgy. Holy Ghost recieved 175 packs, and the following barangays namely Brgy. Sto. Nino, Brgy. San Antonio, Brgy. Pinsao Proper, and Brgy. Fair View were given 150 packs each. Some reliefs were distributed personally by the Gottes Segen Team.
The relief operation is part of the school’s outreach program and ministry, wherein the school extends help to those who are destitue. Henceforth, the staffs and students of the Gottes Segen LTC came into unity to do the repacking of the relief goods.
“We also lost revenue during this lockdown, but we were compelled by God to do something. It is not okay to do nothing during this time of crisis, where others are suffering. Honestly,we don’t have enough budget for the project, but with good faith we know we can inspire others to join our cause. And indeed, we were not failed. God blessed our intention and blessed us with donations and volunteers to work with us.” uttered by Ms. Alpha Mae P. Balusdan, the owner of the school.
The beneficiaries were so happy and grateful. With the good outcome of the relief operation, knowing that reliefs were properly distributed, the Gottes Segen team is contemplating for another relief operation.
From its name Gottes Segen which is translated in english as God’s Blessing, the school will keep up its vocation to share and be a blessing in pursuit of God’s glory.
