LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Applicants are offered thousands of local and international job opportunities at the 3rd Pangasinan Night Job Market scheduled on May 1 as part of the Pistay Dayat celebration and Labor day commemoration.
The third wave of provincial government – sponsored night job market which starts at 3pm until 12 midnight in said day was organized by the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment – Region 1 and People Management Association of the Philippines – Pangasinan Chapter.
PESO Chief Alex Ferrer said that with a pool of almost 11,000 job opportunities in both local and overseas which are made available, the third night job market is projected to equal or even surpass the records set in the previous editions.
Ferrer said that Governor Amado I. Espino, III gave a marching order to assist applicants who might encounter difficulties commuting back home by accommodating them in air-conditioned sleeping quarters located at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center.
“The night job market which was scheduled after working hours seeks to help the unemployed land a job and to provide better job opportunities to the underemployed,” Ferrer pointed out.
Up –for-grabs in the night job market are mostly manufacturing, construction and industrial-skilled workers and medical personnel.
Participating manpower agencies seeking to scout workers for local jobs include: Acabar Marketing International, Akia Superstore, Shakeys, Ayda Security Agency, Honda Cars, Bestone Human Resource Services, Device Dynamics Asia, Globe Broadband/Rolive Trading, Guanzon Group, Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines, Ginebra San Miguel, 3Cs Industrial Staffing Solutions, Inc./Nanox, St. Joseph Drugstore, Magic Appliance Center, Magic Group of Companies, NSource Contact Center, Inc., Onesource Global Solutions, Inc. Palawan Pawnshop/Express, Rayvill Electrical Construction Corp., RC Cola/Arc Refereshments Corp., SM Supermarket and Sutherland Global Services.
Manpower agencies in search for workers abroad, on the other hand, are: STB DJL Human Link, Inc. (Oman), Skybourne International, Tcnivero International Manpower Services, RJC Global Manpower Provider, Inc., Placewell International Services Corp. (Kuwait and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), STB DJL Human Link, Inc. (Guyana, South Africa) and Y HMD International Manpower Services, Inc. (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
