SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The alleged notorious supplier of illegal drugs in La Union was arrested by joint elements of city police here and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Canaoay here recently.
Superintendent Julius Suriben, the city police chief, identified the suspect as Raymund Monton, 44, a former overseas worker and a resident of Barangay Pagdalagan this city.
Seized from his possession during his arrest are seven plastic sachets of shabu, a backpack bag and a cellphone.
The suspect allegedly supplies illegal drugs in this city and almost all in the 19 towns of La Union.
Suriben also reported that they have arrested in a separate operation in Barangay Pagdaraoan the top No. 4 drug personality in the city identified as Alexander Masancay, 36, a security guard.
Police confiscated in his possession two sachets of shabu, a cellphone and a motorcycle.
Meanwhile, in Naguilian, La Union, Chief Inspector Ismael Gauna, the town’s police chief, reported that they have arrested Angelito Fernandez, 37, a resident of Acao, Bauang, La Union and Roxanne Rillera, 34, a waitress and a resident of Sacyud, City of San Fernando, at about 10 a.m. on June 18, 2015 during a buy bust operation at Barangay Ortiz in Naguilian.
Seized from their possession are two sachets of shabu, cellphones, aluminum foil and bag.
All the arrested suspects were charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
