ITOGON, Benguet – A 39-year old laborer was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act at Batuang, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Jonifer Las-ig Oydoc, 39, married, construction worker, and resident of Lower Brookside, Baguio City.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Marietta S. Brawner-Cualing of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 9 in La Trinidad for 3 courts of violation of RA 962 with a recommended bail of P160, 000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested individual was brought to the Itogon Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the cases filed against him.
