BAGUIO CITY – Some Barangay Ginebra legends are here in town for an exhibition game against a selection team from the north during the championship series of the UpNorth Basketball League (UNBL) on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the University of the Cordilleras Gym, here.
UNBL reached the pinnacle of their first season as six teams in three brackets display their hoops prowess out for the top prize in a three-game championship series.
Total will go up against Padres Jr./Rianella at 1PM for the Bracket B diadem. GWE and Pugad/ROC slug it out at 2:30 for the Bracket A jewel. Beneco and Moog/Treetop squaring off at 4:00 for the Corporate crown completes the card.
Expected to grace the event are Gin King legends Noli “The Tank” Locsin, Marlou “The Skyscrapper” Aquino, Bal “The Flash” David, Allan “The Triggerman” Caidic, Willie “Thriller” Miller, and Jayvee “Mr. Adrenaline” Gayoso.

UNBL is a league that was conceptualized, organized and incorporated by individuals from different business and corporate fields who are passionate about the game of Basketball.

Their first season “Megapines Cup” officially opened last September 24, 2017 at the COOYEESAN Sports Complex.
19 teams from different Companies and Business establishments in Baguio City, La Trinidad, Benguet and La Union participated in the tournament.
Moog Controls, Texas Instruments, Benguet Electric Cooperative, Treetop Advernture, Baguio-Benguet Bankers Association, Notre Dame Hospital, and Eurotel complete the casts for the corporate division.
GWE Security Agency, Pugad Adventure, Ruiz Optical Clinic, Otto Garahe, Mommy La Restaurant And Bakery and NMM Advertising composed Bracket A.
Total, Rianella Printing, CityView Condominium, Padres Junior, Hard And Light Massage, and Otto Garahe were the Brackiet B teams.
