It had been a relentless week for anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera after arresting two more drug dealers along Regidor Street, Pacdal, Baguio City today.
Joshua Aluyen Alsisto alias Pidot, 24 years old, a resident of Lower Malvar, Trancoville, Baguio City and Jan Michael de Guzman Kenneth alias JM de Guzman, 31 years old, a resident of Badihoy Street, Ferguson Road, Baguio City were cuffed for selling a heat sealed sachet containing suspected shabu to an undercover PDEA agent.
The suspects yielded the buy-bust money, a weighing scale and two mobile phones upon their arrest.
They are now temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of a criminal case for violation of the provisions of Republic Act Number 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
The arrest of Alsisto and Kenneth came hours after PDEA-CAR operatives nabbed two young drug personalities along Salud Mitra Barangay, Baguio City in a sting operation.
The busts are a result of PDEA-CAR’s efforts, which continue to perform its mandate as the lead agency in the war against dangerous drugs despite its lean manpower.
