LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 62-year old man died after he succumbed to alleged cardiac arrest due to a lingering illness inside their rented room at Puguis here Friday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the victim of natural death as Jerry Luis Contic, 50, single, La Trinidad Municipal Employee as street sweeper, native of Topdac, Atok, Benguet and a resident boarder at MA-167 Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed that his younger brother left the victim who was bed ridden inside their rented room after eating lunch since he was supposed to work and after his duty, he attended their evening mass.
When he arrived home, he was surprised to see the lifeless body of his brother that prompted him to report the matter to the police.
Responding police operatives found no signs of struggle and forcible entry in the rented room of the victim thereby ruling out that the victim died due to natural death.
